E6Golf 1.6 Mandatory Migration / Security Update
Why is an update necessary?
Trugolf has been providing E6 Golf 1.6 services for the last 15 years. This is much longer than most companies support software, because we greatly value our customers.
Now, however, the large companies that host online services are imposing new requirements and, unfortunately, because the technology in E6Golf 1.6 no longer state-of-the-art, it can’t be upgraded to meet the new security requirements. This is forcing TruGolf to move its customers to a new, high-security server. These changes will impact online play.
When do I need to Update?
A quick and easy update will be available starting March 1, 2021 for customers to transition to the new server.
What if I don't update?
Customers who do not migrate to the new server will experience disruptions in service and, eventually, lose service altogether within the next three months or so.
What happens when I update?
All customers with an active E6Golf 1.6 license who update to the new server prior to May 31, 2021 will have access to a 60-day free trial of E6 Connect, the best virtual golf software available. E6 Connect’s Expanded Subscription provides all the features of E6Golf 1.6, including online play, plus much more.
Note: All features of E6Golf 1.6 will not change on the new server, with the exception of online play, which will no longer be available after the security update; however, E6 Connect offers new and better online play features
We are confident that customers will see the great benefits of upgrading to E6 Connect.
