How a Bear and a Shark hover (in golf)

On his website, Greg Norman said he adopted Jack Nicklaus’s challenging-but-rewarding method of holding the clubhead above the turf — a.k.a hovering — while addressing the ball. Why he prefers to hover:

1. Constant grip pressure prevents natural regripping
2. Smooth takeaway flow from the ball;
3. Reduces penalty risk for touching the ball;
4. Avoids snagging the clubface into the grass.
